White Woman Brand

Before my laptop met it's end, I had a spark of genius that I just couldn't wait to share with you all. I like to get wild hairs up my ass occasionally and pretend that I'm Martha Stewart. While I won't regale you with the misadventures of Jenn, I will share the latest of my escapades.

Last week on my days off, I decided that I really wanted to make my own salsa. For anyone that knows me well, you know that I love chips and hot sauce. Given that love, I could TOTALLY make my own salsa, right?

Let's go over the things I didn't consider:
1. I'm not Mexican.
2. I have no idea what goes in salsa.
3. I suck at cooking.
4. I suck at following directions.
5. I don't own a blender.
6. I'm lazy.

The chips were stacked against me in this endeavor (pun intended).

However, I did see this idea come to life. I went to Wal-Mart and found the most authentic looking salsa I could. I read the ingredients list. BAM. Then, I bought a blender. I'm on fire (queue the music). It was magical cutting up all of the stuff and making the salsa come to life.

The real test was still waiting- what is this stuff going to taste like? I'm happy to report, it was perfect, at least for a first attempt. I jarred it up and have enjoyed it all week. I actually gave a jar to a friend to happens to be what I'm not (refer to #1 above) and jokingly branded it, "White Woman Salsa".

*ZING*

It goes without saying that I now must make this brand come to life. It is my goal (for however long it holds my interest), to begin learning how to make ethnic foods, all under my White Woman brand. Pretty catchy and who knows where it will lead?

I'm going to be rich, bitches!!

I'm Baaaaccckkkk!

So, there has obviously been a hiatus on this blog. Lots of stuff going on... holidays, writing performance reviews at work (and delivering them), being lazy... you get the picture.

I sat down last week to write a blog on a pretty awesome topic (you'll likely see this later tonight), and found that my laptop wouldn't turn on. WOULDN'T. TURN. ON.

I, of course, was devastated. So, I've been spending the last week doing some research on what the hip technology is these days and finding some price points for the features I want.

I finally found it. I did have to concede on a few areas, but life is all about compromise right? It literally took me a full day to get this bad boy. I had to track down a store that had it in stock, which resulted in a day of adventure. Sketchy part of town? Check. Windiest day I've experienced in San Antonio? Check. Sales guy ending up getting a little creepy on me? Check.

All in all, I finally got the computer, I've got it home, and I'm functioning enough with Windows 8 (this rant will come later) to give you guys this quick update. Buckle up ladies and gents, as this mother has had lots of time to build up topics (and expand on some I've already covered).
